That is a video that a griefer posted back in May of him and another kid greifing our creative world. There is a part 2 to this video also. Both of these people were banned permanently when we found out they did it and how they did it (We actually found out they did it from this video).
Starting on griefing, it is a major concern we look at, and do our best to not only stop it, but prevent it as well. Any minecraft player knows that being griefed can get one angry, frustrated and sad. It's the act of destroying someone else's stuff that is not yours, like house or other creation. ChildsCraft does their best to help those who have been griefed, and punish those who did the griefing. We like players to come on our server, and if a player comes on and does grief, we let them reason with us, and remind them of how serious this is. Depending on how bad the incident is, the punishment can range from a simple reminder to enternal banishment. No Op ever likes to ban a player, but sometimes that's what has got to happen. We have to run a back up of all the worlds and so if one does get griefed beyond repair, we can load a backup version of the world. Anything built on the server between the last backup and the grief will be lost, but these backups occur nightly.
Stashing is when a player is able to spawn many valuable items and store them in a secret spot for later use. For example, a player is in the creative world and builds a house with a secret chest that has hundreds of diamonds he spawned while on creative mode, the house get's copied over to the main world, now the player has as much diamonds as he wants. Stashing is looked at seriously too by the Ops and Admins and punishments can get to a max of temporary ban if the situation is that severe. We know the methods that players use to try and hide their cheated valuables, and we do have our ways of catching these Stashers, but that's classified. What we have to prevent this, is searching newly built homes in the creative world, and when logging on or switching to a different world besides the creative world, your game mode is always put on survival mode by default.
Stealing is the act of taking someone else's items and using them for yourself. ChildsCraft has taken care of this problem generally, but it still can happen. What we have done to prevent stealing is by a mod we have installed that locks chests, signs and furnaces so any item inside them can only be taken or placed by the person who put the chest/furnace there, unless the creator of that chest/furnace has modified it not to. Things still can get stolen though, like items not placed in a chest such as a bed or painting. If a person dies and the items from his inventory fall everywhere, a person nearby can pick them up, and that's stealing. Punishment can be a reminder, or all the way up to a temporary ban if the stealing was that bad.
ChildsCraft cares for it's players, and does its best to make sure that every player has just as much fun as the other. We are constantly finding new ways to help stop and prevent these crimes, and are working hard on updating our security system to get to it's full potential on stopping those who break the law.
